Exchanges, Returns, and Cancellations Policies

Exchanged or Returned Items

Exchanged or returned items must be in new condition as received. Items that were picked up must be returned in their original containers.

Stock Pictures, Lamps, Rugs, and Accessories

Pictures, lamps, rugs, and accessories, which are kept as in stock items, may be exchanged or returned for a full refund within 7 days of delivery or pick up, subject to any applicable delivery fees. After 7 days, these items cannot be exchanged or returned. These items may be cancelled up to 3 days before delivery or pick up for a full refund.

Stock Items

Furniture kept in stock may be exchanged within 7 days of delivery or pick-up, subject to any applicable delivery fees. Furniture kept in stock may be returned within 7 days of delivery or pick-up, subject to a 20% restocking fee and any applicable delivery fees. Furniture kept in stock may be cancelled up to 3 days before delivery or pick up, subject to a 5% restocking fee.

Special Order Items

Special Orders are items that are not kept in stock and have been ordered from a manufacturer at the specific request of the customer. Special orders cannot be exchanged, returned, or cancelled under any circumstances. Estimated delivery dates for Special Order Items are based on standard manufacturer lead times and may be changed. SummerHome Furniture cannot be held responsible for delays in a customer’s order due to transportation delays, production delays, or fabric shortages. A Special Order may not be cancelled for failure to deliver without the express written consent of SummerHome Furniture.

Mattresses and Foundations

Mattresses and foundations cannot be exchanged or returned under any circumstances. Mattresses and foundations kept in stock may be cancelled up to 3 days before delivery or pick-up, subject to a 5% restocking fee.

Clearance and “As Is” Items

All clearance, floor samples, tent sales, warehouse sales, or otherwise delineated “As Is” items cannot be exchanged, returned, or cancelled. These items must be picked up or scheduled for delivery within 3 days, and all such sales are final.

Third Party Financing or Gift Certificate

Purchases paid by third party financing (such as Wells Fargo or American General) or gift certificate cannot be exchanged, returned, or cancelled.

Refunds

Purchases paid by check will be refunded by check made payable only to the customer on the sales order. A refund check will be issued 14 business days from cancellation or return of all items. Purchases paid by credit card or debit card may be refunded as paid, or by company check, at SummerHome Furniture’s option. Purchases paid by cash will be refunded by check within 5 business days of cancellation or return of all items.
